For the ISTD, "and the winner is . . . " brief, I needed to celebrate the Nobel prize. My 

publication focuses on winners of the Nobel

prize who had rejected the award. Inparticular Boris Pasternak, nominated for the Literature award in 1958 for Dr. Zhivago. However political 

pressures forced him to reject the prize. Separated into five topics, my publication focuses on the power of the Nobel prize. Illustrating in

a simple manner the life and events which led

to Pasternak rejection of the literature prize.
